During peak COVID, luxury wallpaper retailers like Eurowalls faced many new challenges when it came to lockdowns and people unable to go in-store. A new digital front door retail website had to be ideated to allow new and existing customers to view designs, order samples and purchase wallpapers.
Design Process
With zero online presence, Eurowalls needed to quickly market itself as an online retailer of luxury wallpapers. The process included interviews with stakeholders and experts to understand the wallpaper and interior design industry followed with a comprehensive competitive and comparative analysis. Iterative steps were taken when drafting the customer journey mapping and information architecture.
Outcome
Eurowalls launched within a month generating online sales, overtaking walk-in retail traffic – Sales increased by an average 85% month-on-month.
